Procedure alleviates signs of age

Blepharoplasty, known as eyelid surgery is the removal of skin sagging and, eventually, fat bags of upper and lower eyelids. Is done with local anesthesia associated with sedation, being necessary the use of ice compress in the eye after the surgery and up to 48 hours to decrease the swelling. To protect your eyes eye drops and eye ointments are indicated, that can be used for 2 to 3 days after surgery. The stitches are removed between 4 and 5 days and the purplish spots and bumps tend to disappear with a week to 10 days after the procedure.



In face surgeries the patient can wash the head after 48 hours of surgery, and after 15 days, dye your hair. You can't sleep with the face side, supported on the pillow. During 30 days, the position is always staring at the ceiling.
